Built in 1816 in Sugarcreek Twp. of Stark County, Ohio, the Gristmill
was later moved across town in Beach City. Tom Brothers bought
the building and began restoration in 1999. The Gristmill is now
open and welcomes vistors! |

The
Gristmill features local vendors
and artisans with items such
as homemade crafts, candles, flags, greeting cards, iron works,
hand painted gifts, Fenton and Imperial glassware,
old jars and dairy bottles, jewelry, tools, furniture, old
glass showcases and very unusual antiques.
Original Mill Equipment on Display. The picture
on the right shows a 1884 George T. Smith
Co. Flour Bolt used to sift flour. Also enjoy the view of
the railroad from the porch, "the old railroad dock where
workers loaded and unloaded flour and wheat onto the train." |
